The Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Research Program at Butler Hospital/Brown Medical School is seeking 1-2 full-time research assistants to work on a project investigating neural circuitry involved in cognitive and behavioral flexibility in obsessive-compulsive disorder as part of an NIH-funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) Center for Neuromodulation. Primary responsibilities include participant recruitment and screening, data collection and management, clinical assessment, and administration of cognitive-affective assessments. A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related field is required, and previous experience with psychology research and/or psychiatric populations is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on multiple tasks. Additionally, the Research Assistant must provide own transportation between research sites. Prior experience with clinical assessment, neuroimaging, and/or neuromodulation is a plus. The position will begin in June 2019 and a 2-year commitment is strongly preferred.
